September 13 - November 15, 2020
While our lives and communities are caught in unexpected twists and turns, the consistency of the liturgical calendar offers us something we can expect. Common Time, observed by Christians all over the world and set between Eastertide and Advent, is a time for rootedness and growth. It’s a time in which the words of scripture remind us of our call to a daily lifestyle of discipleship and maturation. As we are living a time period in history so riddled by what is UNcommon, may the simplicity and consistency of Common Time call us to ordinary acts of extraordinary faith, hope and love. In an uncommon 2020, may we be found rooted in and embodying the common hope held by the people of God from generations past and for generations to come.
