FINDING GOD

In a broken world, life often goes awry. Whether it be loss, trauma, rejection, transition, disaster, war, or doubt, it’s easy to wonder where God is in these moments. Even in the darkest moments of life, God is still God, and God is Emmanuel – with us. Not only is God with us in our pain, but God knows our pain. King Jesus is the suffering and crucified God, and the slaughtered lamb. It is at the cross that he stands in solidarity with the pain, suffering, and brokenness. We are not alone; therefore, the gathering is a place where the suffering, sorrows, and sadness of the world is welcome. Oh, dear brother and sister, come to the altar.
