Today, we bear witness to the Triune God, and we pray that our imaginations would expand for what the Church is called to be. As pastors, it is our prayer that the Holy Spirit would draw us away from worship and language preferences toward love of God and neighbor. It is our prayer that through this gathering of diverse realities, cultures and languages, we would begin to better practice Kingdom values. By sharing together in this space of worship, we acknowledge that in this space we will honor the Spirit’s ongoing work of reconciliation. We acknowledge that not one group owns this space above the other. We acknowledge that Jesus continues to be the Lord of the Church.

On Pentecost Sunday, may we respond to the invitation of the Spirit to see one another with mutual dignity as equal participants in the Kingdom of God.

Throughout this worship service, we will acknowledge the unique history and ministry of the various worshipping communities that make up our larger PazNaz family, and we will engage in one another’s stories through the sharing of testimony and song. May we be open to what the Spirit of God can do in us, together.
