Exodus tells the story of a people, God's people, and their deliverance from the empire of Pharaoh's Egypt. Set apart to be shaped into a missional community; God's people find their way and lose it, obey and wander, rejoice and grumble. God's people try really hard and yet so often completely miss the point. This God who frees, would lead them in new ways. This God who frees, would dwell with them and covenant anew. This God who frees, is freeing still.
