An opportunity for anybody that can carry a tune and has a heart for worship! Along with our orchestra, the Celebration Choir is the primary worship-leading group on Sunday mornings. The choir rehearses each week on Wednesday evening from 6:30-8:30pm in the Choir Room (Room 101, lower sanctuary).
From this larger group, special opportunities for small ensembles, trios, mixed quartets, acapella groups, etc., are given.
The PazNaz Celebration Choir will take a short break for the summer but will resume on August 20 with hors d'oeuvres at 5:30 pm and rehearsal from 6:45 - 8:30 pm. Come give it a try - and bring a friend!
Sunrise Orchestra not only brings its own special inspiration to the church family, but also provides wonderful opportunities for musicians to use their instrumental abilities in making music to the glory of God. The orchestra participates three Sunday mornings a month in worship. Musicians must have a high school or greater ability. Many solo and small ensemble opportunities are developed out of the orchestra membership. The orchestra rehearses on Thursday evenings from 7:30-8:30pm in the Choir Room (Room 101, lower sanctuary).
The PazNaz Sunrise Orchestra will take a short break for the summer but will resume on August 21 for a dessert party and rehearsal from 7:30 - 9:00 pm.
Specialized groups include:
* Highest Praise (flute ensemble)
* PazNaz Brazz (brass ensemble)
* Sunrise Strings (string ensemble)
Teen Worship is a vibrant ensemble for students, grades 7-12, formed to glorify God through music and art, expressing and developing the gifts God has given us for His purpose and glory. The group aims to share those gifts with both our church body and the local community. Teen Worship participates periodically in Sunday morning worship and special music presentations. The ensemble meets on Sundays after the 10:30 am service in the Choir Room (Room 101, lower sanctuary).
Teen Worship will take a short break for the summer but will resume in September.
Kid's Praise Children's Choir is a fun and dynamic choir for grades one through six. Because children are an important part of music leadership at PazNaz, Kid's Praise participates monthly in Sunday morning worship as well as special presentations. The choir practices from 11:50 am-12:30 pm in Room 112, lower sanctuary. Stop by Lower Sanctuary Room 102 on Sunday morning to register your child! (Once you have signed up, our secured volunteers will walk your child to practice at the end of the 10:30 am Children's Church service each week.) Contact Pastor Jayme Lenker in children's ministries at 626.351.2469 for more information.
Kid's Praise will take a short break for the summer but will resume in September.
Academy of the Arts
As a Christian outreach to the community, and an opportunity to develop the skills and foster an appreciation for great music, Academy of the Arts is part of the Worship & Celebration Arts ministry at PazNaz. The program is for beginning through advanced levels. Classes currently being offered:
Watercolor Painting, Tues, 6:30 pm
Pee Wee Drama (3-5 years) Wed, 3:30 pm
The Pee Wee Drama classes will take a reprieve for the summer but will resume on September 17.

All classes, which are structured to meet individual needs, are taught on the church campus by highly trained and experienced Christian instructors at a nominal cost. Most lessons occur after school weekdays or early evening hours. Fall, Winter, and Spring sessions are offered (as well as Summer Sessions depending on the instructor).
The Academy is open to all those within our church family and neighborhood communities. A modest registration fee and monthly tuition applies.
Cornerstone Theatre Group
Cornerstone Theatre has a vision to share Christ through theater arts, ministering not only within the body of believers but also as an outreach to the community. They welcome all ages. Directors, actors, and writers are welcomed! No acting experience is necessary -- just a heart to serve the Lord in a fun, creative way.
